Guess who I share my Birthday with? Yep. Hugh Hefner
Whelp, It happened. I turned 30 yesterday. Woo Hoo! And you know what? It was a pretty good feeling. Someone asked me that evening how it feels and I jokingly remarked, "I think I feel more attractive." Again that was somewhat sarcastic, maybe, but seriously last night as I laid down for bed all I could think about was how much God has blessed me these last 30 years. I don't know about anyone else, but I have to tell ya that my life ROCKS! Man it sure does feel good to know that I'm doing what God want's me to do for the most part. And the people that the Lord has put in my life are amazing. It's hard not to go through a day and not thank Him for all my friends and unbelievable family. I'm truly blessed and can't wait to see what happens in the next 30 years Lord willing.
Ok so hopefully you've gotten the evite for the most amazing Fandago you've ever seen. If not email me and I'll send it to you. It's kind of important that you respond so we know how many to expect and when. If you'll notice on the right I've placed a tentative schedule of events. Take a look and when you respond please indicate what you'll be there for.
For everyone wondering things like, "How long does it take to get to Gilmer?" and "What kind of accommodations are there?" here's a some info that will help you out.
First of all take a look at the "Links" in the right column. Later on I'll also have a downloadable map of exactly where to go once in Gilmer, but for now check out the Gilmer Map and Lodging info. If you do need a place to stay I would say the "Executive Inn & Suites" is the better place to stay compared to the "Gilmer Inn." They're right next to each other, but the Executive is much newer. As far as drive time Gilmer is about 2 - 2 1/2 hours west of Dallas depending on your stops in between. It's also about 20 mins north of Longview and 30 mins north east of Tyler and it's a spectacular drive this time of year. For a schedule of events again take a look at them in the right column, but just know that feel free to come and go or stay when ever and until what ever time you would like.
You will want to bring Lawn Chairs, a Fishing Poll and Tackle (the fishing is great), Outdoor Wear and your Dance'n Shoes. Other than that just be ready to have the time of your life, probably.
